She has designed creative activities that are appropriate for 9th grade Honors Chemistry. Moreover, Mrs. Allouch uses both formative and summative assessments These assessments include pre-tests and post-tests,  oral quizzes, laboratory reports, real-life application questions, educational games and project-based learning. Artifact: Case Study

Description:

"Students don’t care how much you know until they know how much you care.” A quote that drive the modification of my instructional strategies for my case study- Frank. It is my belief that each effective educator should be  an astute "student watcher".  By showing Frank that he is a valuable component of the classroom community, he took a step forward to succeed and actively involved in the learning process. I systematically implemented many alterations to the curricular decisions that have the aim of impacting this specific student. I tried to remind him the valuable motive behind Bell Work, giving him extra resources to study for the quiz, test. I also realize that one- to one instruction work better for him where he was able to practice higher -order thinking skills  and think critically. In order to develop collaborative skills be on task, and saty focused , I chose his table partner to be a well behaved and an excellent academic achiever. I gave Frank extra allotted time to study for the test. I was always available for him and the other students in case they need further learning assistance.

"Nina compares the experiment to everyday experiences with hot/cold packs. Nina uses the school lab, chemistry utensils, goggles, etc. Nina uses a variety of sources to enhance the students' learning."~~R.Sitron-S.T. Supervisor

Reflection:

After choosing the learning objectives and assessments of our lesson, we, as educators need to deliberate a set of instructional strategies activities that we will employ use to actively engage students with the subject, empower them to meet the objectives, and align with the curriculum standards. Some of the instructional strategies I used during the course of my student teaching and was of a great value are: lecture, discussion, demonstration, scientific games, presenter, labs, independent student projects, group projects, group presentation, peer-reviews, flipped classroom (where I post some materials: PowerPoint presentation, videos, Prezi on learn and students should answer the provided questions and come to school ready to discuss in groups the materials learned).
