Case Study

"If a child can't learn the way we teach, maybe we should teach the way they learn."  ~~Ignacio Estrada

The aim of this study is to employ a Case Study Context to record the observations about a precise student in order to formulate well- versed curricular decisions and adaptations to efficiently and positively impact this student and support him/ her to master the essential knowledge, skills and goals of the honors chemistry curriculum.

In the course of my student teaching, I closely worked with a 14 year old male student who had behavioral problems yet so “smart” student with “low grades”. By seeing Frank’s behavior from a distance and from the information that I got from his profile as well as the counselor help, I realize that there should be a reason behind his” troublesome” behavior. Frank’s lack of family support, the impact of troublesome friends make this kid suffer from dread, anxiety, and abject resignation which lead him to be described as “the troublemaker” in school so I tried to give Frank, my case study, more attention, incentives, support, and care which lead to tremendous change in his academic performance, behavior, and actions.
