The teacher uses understanding of individual differences and diverse cultures and communities to ensure inclusive learning environments that enable each learner to meet high standards.

" Nina is a teacher facilitator. She uses guided practice, independent practice, inductive/inquiry teaching, and direct teaching in order to meet her students' needs. Students work together. This is an advanced class, but the lesson uses, oral, visual, and tactile learning."~~R. Sitron-S.T.Supervisor

  Description:

The aim of my case  study is to employ a Case Study Context to record the observations about a precise student in order to formulate well- versed curricular decisions and adaptations to efficiently and positively impact this student and support him/ her to master the essential knowledge, skills and goals of the honors chemistry curriculum.  I came up with many tactics and strategies in order to get Frank, my case study, back on track.  I showed Frank that I care for him and I treat him as a “unique” person.By showing him care and support,Frank  was then ready to rejoin the appropriate and suitable learning  path and start  taking steps ahead toward decent decisions making. His hard work , perseverance combined with my assistance and care helped him joining his soccer team again which was his ultimate goal.

Reflection:

The biggest challenge in my classroom is to meet ALL students’ needs regardless of their various learning abilities. In my case study, I clearly recorded my ability to tailor my instruction strategies for meeting the needs not only the whole class in general, but also for a precise student, Frank.  Through the use of guided inquiry group work, the help of his table partner, the incentives I provided to him, my one-on-one after school instructional assistance, Frank was back on track with very positive behavior and morals. In every lesson I create including the “Salty Eggs” lesson, I assess the efficiency of the lesson for All learners, formulating accommodations and adaptations when needed.
